“We have had Reiki treatment provided by members of O.P.E.R.A. on Ward 2. Ward 2 is a specialised upper gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary ward, which deals with patients during various stages of their illness. The feedback from patients who have had Reiki treatments has been overwhelmingly positive and has become a regular part of our team on Ward 2. (Reiki — a none intrusive therapy from Japan which promotes the body’s ability for self healing) In addition, the Reiki therapists have also provided set times and days for treatments for staff with the division, again the feedback was positive.
