Sefton O.P.E.R.A  is a charitable voluntary organisation working within the Borough of Sefton.

The project began in 1999 using complimentary therapies to enhance the well-being of the older person.

Since the project began, we have worked with over 27,000 people establishing a successful track record.

Sefton O.P.E.R.A has 5 staff, 9 committee members, and over 70 trained volunteers many of who are qualified instructors.

The volunteers facilitate activities, ranging from basic massage to a full programme of complimentary therapies.

Since 2003 we have been part of the Interchange Project, where Student Doctors shadow our volunteer teams to learn about services available for older persons and gain first hand experience of the benefits of complementary therapies.

We also deliver our services for corporate events and events for other partner organisations. (Links)

We are proud that the success of our project is reflected by the many awards that we have received.
